Meet Your Instructor, Shelby Rollins
With over 15 years of teaching experience, Shelby Rollins knows what it’s like to take singers to the next level. In every musical group she was a part of, she was called upon to lead teams, train singers, and develop leaders. After serving as a vocal coach, vocal director, arranger, and worship leader for nearly 2 decades, she has fine tuned effective strategies for ushering in breakthrough for singers and teams.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Florida State University, where she graduated in 2004. She lived in New York City for years, performing original music in local venues and leading worship in her church. After meeting and then marrying her husband in the city, they decided to move down south to Nashville, TN in 2010, where she received world class training in vocal pedagogy, coaching incredible artists like Johnnyswim and Justin Kawika Young, and Colbie Callait.
She is passionate about training vocal coaches and has spent countless hours developing coaches around the world, writing training curriculum, and creating online courses. The last decade has been filled with writing vocal courses, diving deep into holistic health, deepening her knowledge base, training worship leaders and teams, and raising her 3 kids with her husband.
At her core, Shelby believes passionately in developing people, helping them discover their strengths and leveraging them to grow exponentially. Whether that be as a vocalist, a worship leader, or a teacher. She will help you discover the value and authority of your unique voice.

These sessions will cover all curriculum contained within the Master Vocal Coach Mentorship Program. This includes Mastering Technique, Developing Diagnostics, and Discovering Artistry.
✔ 1 LIVE group co-teaching session per week
These sessions will include opportunities to observe Shelby live coach your fellow coachees, as well as sessions where you will coach each other and Shelby will jump in alongside of you as you navigate coaching moments.
✔ 3 1:1 coaching sessions (1 per month)
These are private lessons with Shelby to troubleshoot your biggest pain points in your own voice with a special "behind the curtain" perspective only shared with her coaches.

In order to fully complete the Master Vocal Coaching Mentorship, you must fulfill the following requirements:
1. Attend or view replays of all live classes. (a maximum of 4 live sessions may be missed)
2. Submit digital notes of all trainings.
3. Complete a written test of terminology and upper respiratory tract diagram. (via google forms)
4. Upload video submissions of 2 voice lessons taught by candidate for review by Shelby.
5. Show proficiency in playing the following scales on the piano: 5 tone scale, 1 octave arpeggio, Rossini scale (video tutorials provided in course resources).
If all requirements are met to Shelby's discretion, you will receive a certificate of certification, usage of Master Vocal assets for business marketing including a "Master Vocal Certified Coach" badge for marketing.
